Between the 8th and 15th of May 2022 the fourth and, unfortunately, the last research camp within the “Genesis and course of anthropogenic and natural deformations of the terrain in post-mining areas of the former brown coal mine "Babina" project financed from the OPUS-17 National Science Centre funds and conducted in cooperation with the KGHM Cuprum Research and Development Centre has taken place.
The research group has precisely measured over 36 km of levelling lines within the boundaries of the Muskau Arch Geopark. These have been accompanied by static GNSS observations, terrestrial laser scanning of a post-mining sinkhole, as well as photogrammetric and Lidar UAV surveys of waste rock dump.
The group of 10 students has been supervised by Dr Jaroslaw Wajs and PhD candidate Paulina Kujawa.
